From a Product Manager perspective, we look at Digital Transformation as it applies to the evolution of a product to better take advantage of digital technologies. This definition from Brian Solis, one of the early pioneers in this space, works well:
“The realignment of, or new investment in, technology, business models, and processes to drive new value for customers and employees and more effectively compete in an ever-changing digital economy.”
The Coronavirus Impact
As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, many Product Managers were forced to consider digital transformation at a much faster pace. We have had to figure out how to better take advantage of digital technologies to promote, sell, implement, or deliver our goods and services.
